Permafrost interactive map

The retained map capture lists ore boulders, recipe notes, recordings, traders, fast travel posts, loot crates and animal spawns on the game's own world map. Coordinates and counts retain the earlier game-file capture; October 14 and 15 world-position changes have not been replayed here. Filter the layers, search for an item or a place, and share a link to any spot.

The October 15 update moved fast travel points near the Warehouse and Crow's Nest. The map still shows the earlier game-file positions; use them as approximate area references until the moved positions are checked. October 15 developer update

Positions come from the shipped game files (version 0.44.2.4634). Containers and world items are where the level places them; what a container holds is rolled from its loot table, and items you have already taken stay gone in your save. Left out: developer test points, the unreleased southern area, and White Hell and Maple Island, which the developers' roadmap plans for a later update.

Where to mine each ore

Each boulder has a required tool tier. Moon Rock boulders need the Quality Metal tier; the developers confirm the Iron Pickaxe cannot mine them even though its item text lists Moonrock. See the mining guide for every pickaxe.
